Detailed Work History & EducationTerminology 2006 - present Content & Process Management; TWiki Champion — Current Position — Documenting process and procedures for server configurations, release process, and operations related tasks. 2000 - 2005 Technical Content Management; Internal Documentation — IronPort (18 months (3 mo. "temp" + 15 mo. FTE)) — Responsible for specifying, researching, creating, reviewing, and editing internal technical documents of many kinds, including how-tos, tutorials, web pages, architecture and component overviews, and software design specifications. Provided assistance to the Technical Publications team in writing and reviewing product release notes and the product User Guide. Responsible for updates to intranet content. Clients: engineers and engineering managers; members of employee relations, user publications, facilities, client services, and Beta program / customer advisory board teams. Tools Programming — Ebay (5 weeks; short-term, f/t "temp") — Responsible for enhancing, documenting, and testing an internal set of utilitiy scripts (Perl, VBScript) that check compliance of Windows desktop and server machines with current Microsoft security patches and anti-virus software. Clients: Ebay desktop system administration team. Open Source build and test — Genentech (2 months; short-term, f/t "temp") — Responsible for porting, building, modifying, and testing Open Source software for installation onto intranet (IMP Webmail, PHP, IMAP). Web Programming, Testing — Vantage Technologies (1 year, p/t contract; 100% telecommute) — Responsible for analyzing problems and addressing issues in the company's web-based product, Partnersmith, a dynamic HTML application (Perl, JavaScript, SQL). Clients: internal programming and testing staff. Web Programming — RCB Consulting (1 month p/t contract; 100% telecommute) — Enhanced a web site to handle a basic "shopping cart" style application (Perl CGI, HTML; systems analysis). Client: Rich Bland, proprietor. Application Programming — Mike Sievers (occasional p/t contract; 100% telecommute) — Data filtering and reporting project.
